Classroom and Curriculum
Loyal to its initial goals, Colegio Los Nogales continues to maintain small size classes in order to offer the most personalized instruction possible.  CLN hires professionals with extensive training and experience who are devoted to the field of education, including native English-speaking teachers from prestigious foreign institutions. CLN teachers are continually kept up to date of new developments in educational theory and practices. Likewise, the institution has always sought to be informed and aware of developing scientific, technological and cultural advances in the world in order to offer a truly contemporary and progressive education.

School sections
The School is divided into the following four sections:

Pre-school
Pre-school at Colegio Los Nogales is a world full of life and curiosity, where the interests and creativity of the children are stimulated through projects which involve simple investigation processes. Developing this stage is vital, as it promotes values and habits that help students grow into well-balanced and secure individuals. It is during these years that the students obtain the necessary tools for the initiation of formal education. Colegio Los Nogales creates a strong foundation upon which all future learning and life achievements will be built.  This section currently has 217 students.

Primary school
Primary school students at Colegio Los Nogales begin discovering their environment and themselves. At the same time, students develop an integral hold of their potential at different levels: academic, physical, ethical and artistic. One main goal for primary school students is for them to acquire autonomy and independence in their academic performance, while learning to be responsible, honest and respectful individuals.  Primary school students have the option to participate in several activities within the school including Art and Sports Days and the production of a play, for which the 3rd grade students rehearse for several months. Another important event for Primary school students at Colegio Los Nogales is the First Holy Communion completed by those in Second grade. Currently, there are 288 students enrolled in the Primary school section, divided into three sections at each grade level from 1st through 4th Grades.

Middle School (Basic Secondary)
Students at this level at Colegio Los Nogales strengthen their use of a second language, as well as their abilities, competences and skills for autonomous, engaged learning. Students in Basic Secondary begin a vocational program in which they can choose from several options: military band, orchestra, photography, arts, and/or cheers. Students further develop their musical and artistic abilities with specialized classes and workshops. They also participate in the Athletic Day organized by the P.E. Department. The Values Development Department coordinates the Cuerpo, Acción y Vida (Body, Action and Life) program for Basic Secondary students. This important program helps students prepare for life as young adults and to develop life skills and strategies to avoid future problems such as drug addiction and alcoholism. This section currently holds 274 students between 5th and 8th grade.

Half-yearly High School
The High School semester programs give students the tools to prepare for successful university experience. High School students at Colegio Los Nogales take fewer, more specialized classes. Class periods are extended to a full hour (60 minutes).  Additionally, the classroom numbers are decreased to 15 and 18 students.  Final exams are presented at the end of every semester.  The High School curriculum approach balances scientific research and humanistic learning, between traditional and contemporary and between the Colombian perspective and a more global vision.  High School students have greater freedom to choose electives and learn better time management skills by creating their own schedules. There are currently 148 students in High School.
